Biography

Originally from Hungary – is a graphic designer, typographer and visual developer. 

Initially, he worked on performances and video installations. In the 1990s, he founded the TEKODEMA Photographic Group with three of his college classmates, which was involved in experimental photography and produced several international exhibitions and book publications.

Within the BIG LEAP program, he studied at ICP in New York and attended several Portfolio Reviews in Portland. He is a member of the Association of Hungarian Photographers and the Association of Hungarian Journalists. In the early 2000s he had an internship at the Centro Cultural los Lagos, Mexico, and gave a lecture on Contemporary Hungarian Photography at the Universidad Veracruzana.

He studied at the Iceland Academy of the Arts under the ERASMUS program and taught as guest lecturer for several years and led a typographic workshop at the Department of Design and Architecture. He was awarded the 2012 ADC*E Best Educational Project Award for his work with students. In Hungary, he taught experimental typography for several years at the Department of Photography at the University of Kaposvár.

In 2015, at the Design Biennale in Saint-Étienne he led a typographic workshop called La TOPY. He has frequently been a speaker and exhibitor at the TYPOMANIA Festival in Moscow. He is a founding member of the TYPOJAM organization, which presented contemporary Russian typography, graphic design and book design in the YOUNG RUSSIAN TYPOGRAPHY exhibition in 2016 in Budapest. Besides this, he is an active graphic designer who has prepared several photo books, e.g. André Kertész, Robert Capa, Moholy-Nagy for the Hungarian Museum of Photography. In 2016, on behalf of the Marais de Paris, he made a large typographic installation on the bank of the Seine during the UEFA Championship. He is a founding member of the International Graphic Society.

He is currently living and working in Paris, working collaboratively with Cite du Science on robotics, and is interested in interactive developments.
